Common questions

How do I share my card?

Open the Cards tab and tap the QR icon, then Share my card. Let someone scan the QR code, or send the link via Messages, email, or AirDrop. Each code works for one day and refreshes automatically for your safety.

How do I add someone’s card?

Open Exchange Cards and tap Scan a card, then point your camera at their QR code. You can also paste an invite link they sent you.

Who can see my location?

Only contacts you’ve approved, and only while sharing is on. Your location is masked to a wide area on your device and end-to-end encrypted — your precise position is never shared, and not even our servers can read it. You can pause sharing anytime in Settings, or remove a contact to revoke access instantly.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We’ll send a reset link and a code — tap the link on your phone, or type the code in the app, to set a new password.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself — this can’t be undone. Prefer we do it? Email support@businesstown.app from your account address and we’ll delete it for you.
